Belonging

Where does the "I" go when it is in love? Where does the "I" go when it denies love? After the "I" awakens from the dream of love, it begins to ask: How did this "I" love? How did this "I" deny love? Where was this "I" all these years, if it was in love? Where was its consciousness? Do human beings lose their consciousness in love? Do they lose years in love? The paradox is this: When love is, the "I" is naught. When the "I" is, love is naught. The "I" who writes these lines writes only because he is no longer in love. For to write the story of love, the "I" must remember love, not be in love.
